With the growing excitement around Ragnarok Online 3, I’ve gathered everything that’s currently known – or speculated – about the upcoming title. While official details remain limited, recent trailers, test announcements, and community discussions have helped paint a clearer (but still incomplete) picture. These information are gathered from trailers, early announcements and some community speculations.
The Game Exists – But Remains Under Wraps
We do know this: Ragnarok Online 3 is real, and it’s being developed. However, Gravity itself has not made a major global announcement yet. Most of the available material comes from the Asian market.
A gameplay trailer has been released, and some early in-game footage is public available. These give us a first glimpse into the visual direction, which is noticeably more modern than previous Ragnarok titles. The game seems to be built using the Unity engine, enabling more dynamic effects, smoother animations, and large-scale environments.
Confirmed Systems – With Room for Change
Several systems have either been seen in the trailer or appeared in community discussions:
- Active skill types per class,
- A dungeon system with instances,
- A stat-based character building system with unique bonuses (AGI, DEX, etc.),
- And the mysterious Echo System, tied to seasonal rewards and gacha-like mechanics.
The game seems to include both PvE and PvP elements, including large-scale Battlefields with up to 1,500 players on one map, and instanced content that resets regularly.
That said, many of these systems are still being tested and may change. A lot remains speculative – especially when it comes to monetization, long-term progression, and job/class design.
Jobs and Classes: Teased, Not Confirmed
The trailer and official artwork hint at familiar roles like Swordsman, Archer, Mage, Thief, and other classes known from former tiles, but no complete job list has been revealed. Some speculate that the game may start with a simplified job tree to accommodate balance testing, then expand over time.
Monetization and Fairness
Interestingly, early community statements suggest that Ragnarok Online 3 is not intended to be Pay-to-Win.
Of course, this promise is still untested. The Echo system, crafting tiers, and seasonal resets raise some eyebrows within the community when it comes to how much time and money might be needed to stay competitive.
What We Don’t Know (Yet)
While we’ve seen bits and pieces, many core questions remain open:
- Will the game be released globally?
- Who will publish it in Europe or North America?
- How will the cash shop affect gameplay?
- How will guilds and market systems work?
We’re also still unsure how much the developers are willing to involve the community in the long term. Some interviews suggest an openness to feedback, but until the Pioneer Test ends and more regions are invited, it’s too early to say.
Stay Curious. Stay Critical.
At this point, Ragnarok Online 3 is both exciting and mysterious. We’ve seen enough to be interested – but not enough to be certain. That’s why Ro3Hub will continue to follow the developments closely, gathering facts, rumors, and test impressions in one place.
