The Ragnarok Online 3 Database is still in an early stage, but the technical foundation has already been laid. Our goal is to build a flexible and future-proof system that can grow alongside the game and community needs.
ACCESS TO TEST DATABASE AT THE END
Technical Foundation
At this point, the database covers (from a tech point, not content) three major content types:
Monsters
- First basic stats (Level, element, type, etc.)
- Drop tables with drop chances
- Spawn behavior: on which map and spawn rate
Items
- Basic item stats (name, category, description, rarity, etc.)
- Information on which monsters drop them, with probabilities
- Categories with subcategories (e.g. Weapons → One-Handed Sword)
(Note: Refinement, upgrades, and crafting functions are not yet implemented.)
Maps
- Map images (where available)
- Monster distribution on each map, including spawn frequency and density
Features Already Working
- Dynamic linking between monsters, items, and maps
- Basic loot tables (monster → item drop and item → dropped by monster)
- Categories and subcategories for items to improve browsing
- Jobs classes with linking to child jobclasses, with skills linked
- Skils with sub-skills (like Heal level 1, level 2,…)
- Expandable framework for future content such as NPCs, skills, quests, or crafting
The focus is on keeping the system modular so that new data can be plugged in without breaking existing displays.
At the moment the main goal was to provide the technical basement. Design and usability will be enhanced in the future.
Purpose of the Database
The Ro3 Database is designed as a community resource for players worldwide.
- There is no claim of data ownership – the database exists to organize and display game information in a structured way.
- At a later stage, a full data dump is planned, so contributors and the community can use and expand it freely.
- The long-term goal is to provide a transparent, collaborative overview that benefits all Ragnarok Online 3 players.
Support Wanted
We are currently looking for contributors to help expand the database. Especially:
- Content Capturing: Screenshots, text, and in-game data
- Editing & Structuring: Organizing collected content for consistent database use
- Testing & Feedback: Helping to refine the frontend display and usability
Access to the game is crucial, since most content can only be gathered directly while playing.
